1) The World Baseball Classic Article:
I feel this is a solid article but the holes need to be filled up. Get the quotes you are seeking and put it all together. Articles like this rely on the quotes to breathe life and emotion into it. I like the structure of the article and the facts were good.

2) Running program:
I thought this article was going to be on the cross country team but this works as well. The reporting in this article was good but the article itself needs some cleaning up. The beginning of the article seems more like an essay style. Have some of the other writers edit it it and then I will when they finish.

3) The New Gym Article:
Seeing what you have written, the new gym article is in fact releventfor the next issue and I feel that it would be good to include in the paper. Some further questions though, will the banners that hang on the walls of the current gym be moved to the new one and also, will there be airconditioning or are fans still necessary?
Once again, the article had good reporting and mimic the editing proccess for the prior article and this week I will do a full edit myself.

4) March Madness
Initially, I have no idea what you are saying in your second paragraph can you please clarify for me? IN the 3rd paragraph you mention stephen curry but he was from last years tounament. He wasn't even in this years. You might want to include something to clarify that. Take out the word overflowed in the 4th para. because you already used that word to describe the arena earlier. SPend a paragraph or two to talk about people of all ages filling out there brackets and betting on how many they get correct. I myself won my bracket and finished in the 99.8 percentile in the entire world (just thought I should note that; I feel like bragging). Write about how even the president filled out a bracket on ESPN and correctly picked UNC to win it all. Describe their trip to the championship as well. This article I feel has the most work. Also could use a few more quotes from people filling out brackets and watching the tournament.

5) Cheating different for athletes
While the idea of this article seems interesting, the article itself is very bland. Has anyone at Beach been kicked off their sports teams for cheating in the classroom and how were their punishments different from non athletes who have also been caught cheating? This article needs much more reporting. If you need any help on ideas for this article contact me by phone, in person during 7th period, or by email. I'm here to help.

Some other things to talk about in the article are 1) how much of the country is involved in predicting the bracket. talk to some student ho have filled out their brackets and are in bracket league with their friends. (Ask me if you need someone to find because I have a few friends that are doing it). 2) Write about how Barack Obama has even publically filled out a bracket and it was a feature piece on ESPN.

For the cross country article, talk about how the team did last year and ask the coach what his expectations for the team this year are. Ask the coach who the captains of the team are and interview them on how it feels to be a captain and how their roles has changed now that they are a team leader.

For the world baseball classic, definetly interview people from as many of the represented countries as you can. research the countries in the tourny to get an accurate list. Ask them if their team winning adds to their national pride and if they even care about the tourny at all. Also comment about how many players feel like the games are a bad thing becasue at this point in the team they are not ready for competitive play. Many ppl are getting injured and don't feel like having the tourny right before the season starts is a good thing.

I do not feel like writing on the new gym is relevent for this issue. It will be a good article idea for a future issue when it is closer to beeing built. Maybe in the issue after this one or the first next year, will be a better time for its publication.
